Striking and beautifully expressive, this rare Victorian Agate brooch dates to circa 1890 and is a wonderful example of the era’s love of natural form and bold design. Handcrafted in rich 20ct yellow gold, the brooch features a dramatic butterfly motif, formed from carefully selected polished agate panels displaying soft, banded layers in warm tones of blush, taupe, and smoky grey.

My pendant just arrived and it is beautiful. I love that with the different faces (black banded agate/pink agate) it’s essentially two styles in one, increasing its wearability. I prefer pieces that are a little outside the usual trendy styles that you see in every store and this definitely fits that brief. It arrived quickly and was packed with care as always.
